    ENISA Releases “Remote ID Proofing – Good Practices” Guide

     

    ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, has released a new document titled “Remote ID Proofing – Good Practices” aimed at providing fundamental guidelines for mitigating cyber attacks in the field of Identity Proofing / Digital Identity. 

    In the document, ENISA particularly acknowledges InfoCert, recognizing the contributions of Lorenzo Piatti, Leone Riello, and Igor Marcolongo The guide provides a detailed overview of best practices in Identity Proofing, a key aspect of making sure digital transactions and online services are secure.  

    It is very important because Identity Proofing is one of the fundamental pillars of digital security and it facilitates the operation of digital finance and many online services.  

    Cybercriminals are constantly looking for vulnerabilities to exploit, and cyber attacks can have devastating consequences for individuals and businesses. Therefore, it is imperative to adopt recommended best practices to protect digital identities, preserving online security.
