InfoCert is now an Access Point of the PEPPOL Network: the European Union cross-border e-Procurement system

Tecnoinvestimenti Group strengthens its European positioning in the electronic invoicing market

Rome, April 5nd 2018 – InfoCert (Tecnoinvestimenti Group), the largest Certification Authority in Europe, announces to have successfully completed the certification process to become an Access Point of the PEPPOL (Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line) Network, which aims at spreading the use of digital services for cross-border e-Procurement transactions in the European Union.

“InfoCert joining the PEPPOL network represents a major step forward in the evolution of our hub of cross-border Trust services. InfoCert is a main provider of eInvoicing services for the Italian market and, thanks to our involvement in the eIGOR (eInvoicing GO Regional) initiative, a project financed by the European Commission and supervised by AgID (Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale), InfoCert is already able to deploy cross-border e-invoicing solutions to the whole EU market in compliance with the Directive 2014/55/UE” – stated Carmine AulettaInfoCert’s Chief Innovation Officer. “Being an Access Point of the PEPPOL Network will further strengthens our offering in the e-invoicing EU market, in view of the B2B e-invoicing obligations soon required by all EU member states.”

PEPPOL, founded in 2008 as a result of an initiative of the European Commission, is regulated by OpenPEPPOL since 2012, an international non-profit association founded in Belgium and consisting of both public sector and private members. OpenPEPPOL’s objective is to enable businesses to communicate electronically with any European government institution in the procurement process, thereby increasing efficiencies and reducing costs. PEPPOL enables trading partners to exchange standards-based electronic documents over the PEPPOL network. These documents include e-Orders, e-Advance Shipping Notes, eInvoices, eCatalogues, Message Level Responses, etc.

Thanks to its leadership in trust, regulatory and compliance and leveraging its technological innovative solutions, InfoCert manages cross-border transmission of commercial e-documents, guarantees their compliance with different specific regulations and formats and, finally, promotes and supports the digital transformation of EU enterprises.

Access to the PEPPOL network for the exchange of e-documents is guaranteed by the Access Points, which now includes InfoCert.
